HIGH NOON........

Will he stay or will he go? By Thursday afternoon's trading deadline, Red Sox LF Manny Ramirez (shown during batting practice at right) could be playing for one of the teams shown on the scoreboard, or he could be staying put in Boston.

So far it appears as there is nothing new in the Manny trade talks.  The Globe is reporting that Pirates are slowing down the deal by insisting they get more in return for Jason Bay.  I find this quite humorous considering what they got in return for Xavier Nady and Marte from the Yankees.  I guess Christmas only comes only twice a year in Pittsburgh, not three times.

  It seems we have all been here before with the Sox and Manny, but this time it feels different.  Ironically enough, today is the four year anniversary of the Sox trading former icon Nomah to the Cubs.
