The End......

Well it now looks like the book on Curt Schilling may be closed forever.  Curt Schilling annouced on WEEI just a little while ago that he was having season and perhaps career ending shoulder surgery.  Schilling was quoted as saying " I'm going to make it not hurt anymore".

  The aftermath for the Sox could be a hangover that lingers for awhile for many Boston players.  The Red Sox handling of this situation was pathetic at best.  From the start Schilling and his doctor's wanted to have the surgery, and maybe salvage something of this season possibly.  The Sox brass, Theo Epstein to be specific argued with Schilling, and disagreed with is doctors, and sited the Red Sox "expert opinions".  It is clear now who was right, and from the start I thought Curt and his own doctors knew what was best for him and his career.
