Congrats to Manny Ramirez on hitting his 500th homerun! As predicted earlier today by me on Red Sox Nation Daily. Manny's historic moment came with two outs in the 7th innings in Baltimore on the first pitch offered by former Red Sox Chad Bradford. The ball was hit almost to dead center, and Manny knew the minute it left his bat it was #500. To make sure it was a homer Manny watched it drop into the bleachers before running to first base. Manny being Manny......
I was in Baltimore both Friday and Saturday night. We drove 10 hours from South Carolina to see the Sox. I usually go to the Baltimore games when I get a chance since my brother lives there. We had the tickets for over a month and I could have died when Manny hit #499 right before the Baltimore series.
What can I say? Seeing your favorite player reach a milestone like that in person - no words to describe the excitement. We also got to meet him briefly as he was entering the stadium early that day.
Thank you Manny for truly the most exciting game I have ever attended! We love you!
