What to do, what do ? Red Sox brass is scrambling this holiday season to bring their fans some Christmas cheer. Unlike last Christmas when Sox and co. annouced the re-signing of catcher and new team captain Jason Varitek, it looks like this year all we get is back-up catcher.....live from New York it's Jorge Posada's back-up John Flaherty. Well thats one way to go I guess, huge whole @ centerfield, no shortstop, 2nd year player @ first who has never played first, but hey we filled Doug Mirabella's spot.
All sarcasm aside it has been reported today on espn news that ERA leader and oft. injured Kevin Millwood visited with the Sox today. At Larry Lucchino press conference on tuesday he was quoted as saying that basically there was not an arms race with the Yankees to make a splash with free agent signings and counter-signings. However it seems like alot of frontline players as of the last few days have been linked or rumored to be in the Red Sox sight. Stay tuned to see where Glaus, and Millwood, or Julio Luggo or **** maybe even that Manny for Miggy trade will resurface.
Personally, I dont think that Milwood would set up good here in Boston. The Sox need to stop messing around with these so called players ( Almighty Posada back) and work with what we NEED other than thinking " hey, this guy is cheap, and well the Yankees dont want him so, Heck we'll take him." Sorry for my own sarcasm. But we do NEED to find not only a centerfielder, shortstop, and wouldnt hurt for a more experienced first basemen but also a leadoff hitter. I am behind the Sox no matter what and will die with a sox hat on my head but I feel that the sox are holding back. I hate to say it but they need to be more like the Evil Empire and stop doing the talking and start getting these players that aren't going to be on the market very long. They took Damon for granid and didn't beleive he was serious and look what happened. Not only did he leave Boston but went to New York.

Steinbrenner is a great man for the Yankees. All these other owners want to prance around with their nose up in the air, but not Georgy boy. This guy thinks with the mind of a White Collared worker, but has the attitude and the balls of blue collared guy. Enough said!
Theo was like this, but they got rid of him for the very same reason. Boston is all about the prestige and being proper, whereas, George believes in the adage, 'Where there's a will, I'll get my way'. Don't ever blame him for putting money into his product.
As a RedSox fan,(I know it's hard to believe after I just gave Mr. Steinbrenner some praise)it hurts we lost Damon. He was part of the spirit of the RedSox and is part of the core. However, If you hear his press conference, he does sound like an idiot, but if you listened to it,he doesn't sound like he is speaking with much heart.
Now, Giambi and Arod, they spoke with excitement. Damon sounds like he's reading a script, only in haphazard fashion. The man is a 'Traitor', he is the woman/man who cheats on you with your best friend in your own house on your side of the bed.
I am banking on Schilling nailing him in those funky a(* teeth, so the next time he smirks, it looks more realistic than the show he put on with his little side b*(&*h Barbie, which by the way, he cheated on his ex-wife with.
Oh yeah! You guys got yourselves a real winner and now that I've seen his true colors, I am appalled that we called this individual the heart and soul of the RedSox. This, my Spankee fans, to me is more of a let down than watching that ball go through Polio Buckner's legs.

Offer the Texas Rangers K. Youkilis/D. Pedroa/Marte for Michael Young.
We would have a very soild infeild something we've not had in years. But this is only my wish and dout that it will ever happen.
